Jacqueline Vallez
Jacqueline Vallez is a Cost Engineer for Synnov Group, Inc. She is currently working on the O’Hare21 Program, one of the largest aviation construction programs in the City of Chicago’s history. Her role allows her to work alongside Project Managers, Construction Managers, and Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) Project Administrators to monitor costs within the various capital improvement projects.
Jacqueline is passionate about advancing women, especially BIPOC women in the construction industry. She is a firm believer that for this industry to grow, the support of women is a key necessity to create a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workforce. Working for a woman owned business has given her the opportunity to help pave the way for the future female leaders of the industry.
With a high interest in international affairs, Jacqueline has previously held internships with the Mexican Consulate in Chicago and the United States Department of State in Arlington, Virginia. Her experiences while working at these government agencies allowed her to grow her interest in public service. She learned the importance of federal government but also that there is a lot of work that can be done on the local level for her community. She is currently a volunteer on one of the 30th Ward aldermanic campaigns.
Jacqueline is the proud daughter of Mexican immigrants, raised in Chicago’s Hermosa neighborhood. She holds a Master in Public Administration, with an International Public Management Concentration from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She currently lives in Jefferson Park with her husband of 3 years. She enjoys attending live music events, weightlifting, and traveling.
