Rafael Lopez
He is a triumphant product of the Chicago Public Schools system as an alum of Curie Metropolitan High School where he was part of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program. Rafael holds a B.A. in Finance with a concentration in commercial banking from Marquette University. Rafael started his professional career as a rotational credit analyst under the Wintrust Credit Academy, a two-year program that served as the foundation to his career in commercial banking.
After successfully completing the program, Rafael was hired as a Portfolio Manager where he now assists in monitoring a $1.5B portfolio in committed capital. Rafael is committed to his personal and professional goal of ensuring reinvestments to communities of color in the city of Chicago. Rafael brings a dynamic perspective based on his experience in directly working with a diverse portfolio of stakeholders across the state of Illinois.
Rafael is an avid horseback rider and sports fanatic. He is also a spontaneous individual who enjoys traveling to new places and trying new activities. Rafael hopes to pursue an MBA degree in the near future.
