Tanya Jaramilla

Tanya brings nearly 20 years of leadership and development experience within Chicago’s nonprofit sector, addressing inequitable and oppressive systems through thought leadership and activism.

She has held c-suite positions for several multi-million dollar organization and has raised over $100 million in fundraising dollars for grassroots organizations that deliver critical programming to some of Chicago’s most divested communities. Tanya is a native Chicagoan and alum to some of its finest institutions including Chicago Public Schools. As a first-generation college student, Tanya received her B.A. from DePaul University and MBA from Loyola University and is a Baumhart Scholar, a world-class program that bridges the gap between purpose and profit.

Tanya’s commitment to serving and uplifting BIPOC community is deep; she has served on the board of Aspira Inc. of Illinois as the Chair of the Fundraising Committee, is a graduate of the United Way Responsible Business Leaders program, and served as Secretary on the Local School Council, was part of the inaugural cohort of the Latino Policy Forums Multicultural Leadership Academy, participated in the National Center for Family Philanthropy’s Racial Justice Learning and Action Cohort, and is on the Advisory Council for Opportunity Collaboration- a global convening of social impact leaders that gather to address some of the world’s most pressing issues. In the summer, Tanya, her husband, and two children can be spotted riding bikes all over the city enjoying the lakefront or a neighborhood festival. When she can, she spends her downtime honing her creative practices such as painting, crafting, and resin pouring.
