Veronica Pereyra

As a first-generation American born in Little Village to Mexican immigrants and raised on Chicago's Southwest Side, I am deeply committed to empowering and uplifting my community. My passion lies in building strong relationships across Chicago's neighborhoods.

In my current role with West Side United, I focus on advancing health equity by addressing systemic disparities and promoting community wellness. I collaborate with hospital partners, faith-based leaders, and local organizations to reduce health disparities, particularly in underserved communities.

Previously, with the Southwest Organizing Project, I focused on outreach, COVID-19 education, and supporting immigration initiatives. My work is driven by a commitment to ensuring that all community members, regardless of background, have access to the resources and support they need to thrive.
