Jazmin Garcia is a Queer, First-Gen, Mexican- American with eight years’ experience in policy, programs and philanthropy, including developing over 200 Latinx leaders for a nationally recognized program.

She most recently served as a small business advisor for the Economic Development Agency of the City of Chicago where she helped over 300 businesses sustain or scale during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her experience growing up across borders in San Diego, California and Tijuana, Baja California inspired a curious leader and prompted her passion for public service and social impact.

Jazmin holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of San Diego, is the National Vice President of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Alumni Association and a Nonprofit and Social Impact Leader of the Baumhart Center at Loyola’s Quinlan School of Business.  Jazmin is dedicated to the development of leadership for all youth/emerging leaders and is an avid volunteer with ChicagoNext, Chicago Sister Cities International, Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, University of San Diego Senior Legacy, Chicago Scholars and the Association of Latino/as Motivating Action (ALMA) Chicago. She has also recently been named the Co-Chair for Chicago Women in Philanthropy where she will spearhead the development of young women and diversity, inclusion and belonging within its programs.

Jazmin recently embarked on a new venture as a Nonprofit Talent Advisor @ LinkedIn Corporation. She resides in the beautiful neighborhood of Pilsen, loves traveling and exploring the world, and enjoying a good cup of joe on a Saturday morning when she isn’t trying to perfect her boxing skills.
