Director of Operations, On Point Technology

Luis currently serves as the Director of Operations for On Point Technology. On Point Technology is the country’s leading Unemployment Insurance integrity software provider.

To date, On Point Software has helped save billions of dollars in unemployment insurance overpayments and is currently helping prevent billions of dollars in fraud with its fraud prevention software suite OPTimum Integrity Cloud.

Luis is a native Chicagoan, having grown up in the Little Village neighborhood. He attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, receiving a bachelor's in computer engineering. Luis most recently was admitted to the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign MBA program with an expected graduation date of 2023.

Luis started his career as a software developer for Motorola’s Cellular Infrastructure group. There he developed software features for the EMX2500 Switch. He then pivoted to software project management and moved to Motorola’s Mobile Devices Sector. One of Luis’s most notable early projects was leading the software integration team in the deployment of the famous Razor phone.

Luis has been with On Point Technology since 2012 and has served as Senior Project Manager, PMO Manager and Director of Operations.

Luis also has extensive philanthropy and organizational management experience within the nonprofit sector. He has had board level leadership positions in Illinois LLAA (Illinois Latina/o Alumni Association), Chicago Boys and Girls Clubs, St. Jude Hispanic Advisory Board, ChicagoToyDrive.org and Omega Delta National Fraternity, having been a founding member of LLAA, Omega Delta and ChicagoToyDrive.org. Luis notes that his favorite volunteer activity is coaching little league baseball, having done so for nearly a decade
