Claudia Guzman

Community Engagement Manager, Catholic Relief Services

Claudia Guzman is from the McKinley Park neighborhood, where she dedicates her time organizing around environmental justice issues that plague her community. During the day Claudia works as a Community Engagement Manager for Catholic Relief Services and in the evenings volunteers as the Local Strategy Coordinator for the Chicago Hub of the Sunrise Movement and as the VP of the Southwest Environmental Alliance. Claudia is passionate about intentionally investing in BIPOC youth to help them become the leaders our community needs to fight back against systems of oppression. When Claudia isn't organizing for a Green New Deal she is usually trying to house train her puppy, exploring the city, visiting wineries, hiking or spending time with her nephew.
