Patricia graduated from the College of Liberal Arts and Science with a Bachelor's in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2009. She holds a dual Master's Degree in Public Health and Business Administration from Benedictine University (2014 and 2017). She interned with the World Health Organization and the United Nations in Ecuador and Sri Lanka in 2014. Facilitated updating Ecuador’s 2015 Health Systems Profile. Assisted in translating documents from Spanish to English for the United Nations Development Programme. Coached as a fitness instructor for United Nations staff. Responsible for creating the Emergency Pocket Tool 1st Edition, Emergency Guide for Emergency Workers in Sri Lanka.

Worked as a liaison for the International Health office at Northwestern Medicine from 2015 thru 2017. Assisted international patients as a confidant, city ambassador and coordinated the overall patient experience from travel logistics, housing, medical care, emergency care, and financial advising. Advocated for diversity and inclusion within the hospital.

Assisted Professor Juliet Sorensen, founder of The Northwestern Access to Health Project at the Center for International Human Rights at Northwestern University. Prepared educational presentations for workshops to teach community leaders and reviewed grants to increase funding for the program. This project is an interdisciplinary initiative focused on human rights, health and development in communities around the world that utilizes teams from the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, Kellogg School of Management, and Northwestern's Masters in Public Health program to assess and implement health and human rights projects in Ethiopia, the Dominican Republic, Mali, Nigeria and Lebanon, among other developing nations.

Certified Bilingual Health and Safety Instructor for the American Red Cross. Volunteered with the Chicago Immigration Transit Assistance (CITA) program sponsored by the American Red Cross and Illinois Coalition for Immigrant & Refugee Rights 2018 thru 2020. Worked as a Public Health Specialist for a minority woman owned start-up, AMAH Health 2019 thru 2020. AMAH Health won the Health Equity Innovation Challenge in 2019 co-hosted by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois and MATTER. Patricia conducted research within the Latinx community in Humboldt Park and Wicker Park neighborhoods of Chicago. The research was helpful for uncovering the bio-psycho-social determinants of health for the Latinx community. These insights are being measured to create a bilingual health coaching program to address many of the chronic conditions seen in the Latinx population. Currently works as an Analyst for Healthcare Financial Resources, Inc performing revenue management for hospitals across the U.S. 2020 thru now. She is also the current Director of Health and Wellness for the national board of directors office of Alpha Psi Lambda National, Inc and Director of Programming for the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s Latina/o Alumni Association.
