Guadalupe Rivera
Throughout her career, Guadalupe has consistently demonstrated her passion for equity and access to resources for all. She serves as the Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) lead at Stevenson Elementary and is an active union member, advocating for staff and students alike. Guadalupe's leadership extends beyond the classroom, as she actively participates in local and state-level initiatives, including her role as a community navigator with the Southwest Organizing Project (SWOP) and her involvement with the Inner-City Muslim Action Network, where she champions healthcare access for underserved populations.
Guadalupe holds a master's degree in Community and Teacher Leadership from Northeastern Illinois University and a Master's degree in Public Policy with a minor in Public Administration from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Currently, she is a pre-law student preparing to attend Loyola University's JD weekend program, with a focus on constitutional law. Guadalupe's long-term goal is to become the first Mexican American woman president, where she aims to ratify the Constitution and pass the Equal Rights Amendment.
In her pursuit of continued growth and leadership, Guadalupe is applying to the Chicago Latino Caucus Foundation’s Leadership Academy, where she hopes to further develop her skills in leadership, civic engagement, and public policy to make an even greater impact in her community.
